Downstream Applications That Require The Plant DNA Isolation Kit
Our Plant DNA Isolation kit consists of two additional lysis enhancers, PLE-1 (SDS lysis method) or PLE-2 (CTAB lysis method). A user can combine the enhancer with the PDL (Plant DNA Lysis Buffer) considering the plant tissue because several polysaccharide polyphenols-rich plant tissues do not lyse well in SDS-based lysis buffer.
The yield of gDNA from the Plant DNA Isolation kit varies with plant species, tissues, genome size, ploidy, cell number, sample age, and storage conditions.
Auto-Mag® Plant DNA Plus Kit uses Auto-Mag® magnetic beads technology and is specially designed for rapid and reliable purification of gDNA from a wide range of plant and fungi species. The procedures of the Auto-Mag® Plant DNA Isolation Kit describe the isolation of DNA from 50 mg samples of wet tissue (or 30 mg dry tissue). Under DNA binding conditions only the genomic DNA will bind to the magnetic particles while most of the contamination is removed. Purified genomic DNA is suitable for various conventional operations, including enzyme digestion, PCR, Next Generation Sequencing, Southern blot, chip detection, hybridization applications and other experiments. The protocol can be used for manual procedures as well as guidelines for adapting it to automatic liquid handling workstations currently on the market.
DNA yield varies between different species and tissues and depends on genome size, ploidy, cell number, age of tissue sample, and storage condition of the sample. Some plant tissues rich in polysaccharide polyphenols do not lyse well in SDS-based lysis buffer. This kit includes two additional plant lysis enhancers: PLE-1(based on SDS lysis method) or PLE-2, (based on CTAB lysis method). User can choose either one to combine with Plant DNA Lysis Buffer (PDL) for different plant species and tissues lysis.
