Auto-Mag® Blood & Tissue DNA Isolation Kit utilizes magnetic bead–based technology to efficiently purify high-quality genomic DNA from a wide range of sample types, including fresh or frozen whole blood, buffy coat, saliva, mammalian tissues, and cultured cell lines. Its streamlined four-step workflow—Lysis, Binding, Washing, and Elution—enables processing of up to 96 samples in less than one hour. The purified genomic DNA is ready for immediate use in downstream applications such as PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, cloning, DNA sequencing, and Southern blotting.

Auto-Mag® Blood & Tissue DNA Isolation Kit is fully compatible with automated workflows, including the KingFisher™ platform, the IsoPure Automated Purification System, and most magnetic rod–based liquid handling systems, while maintaining consistent and reliable performance. Manual Workflow for Blood DNA isolation

  1. Confirm the sample volume.
  2. Add Proteinase K to lysis the cells.
  3. Add Beads to bind DNA
  4. Separate beads from contaminants.
  5. Wash magnetic beads to remove contaminants.
  6. Elute DNA from magnetic beads

Comparison of DNA Isolated from Whole Blood

Figure 1. Comparison of DNA Isolated from Whole Blood. gDNA was isolated from 50, 100 and 200 µL of whole blood using Auto-Mag® Blood & Tissue DNA Isolation Kit and a competitor’s M kit. Following isolation, 10 µL from each 100 µL elution was loaded on 1.2 % agarose gel, with the results indicating that the DNA isolation was consistent between the samples .  In terms of determined recovery, Auto-Mag® Blood & Tissue DNA Isolation  Kit shows a higher recovery than the competitor’s kit.
