Workflow of Magnetic Beads RNA Extraction 

  • Cell Lysis: Samples are lysed to release DNA/RNA.
  • Add Beads: Add appropriate volume of beads into lysis.
  • Binding: DNA/RNA binds to the Carboxyl magnetic beads in the binding buffer.
  • Remove DNA & Washing: DNA was digested and then removed with ethanol-based wash buffers.
  • Elution: Pure total RNA is eluted using a low-salt buffer or water.

Total RNA are isolated from blood and tissue samples using the Total RNA Isolation Kit with Auto-Mag® Carboxyl Magnetic Beads (C-5), following the AMD Total RNA Isolation Kit standard protocol. Extractions were performed in triplicate, and each extracted RNA sample was analyzed individually using the Agilent TapeStation 2200. The figure illustrates the analysis of the extracted total RNA, which demonstrates high-quality rRNA with a RIN greater than 8.5.
