Auto-Mag® RNA-Pure

Auto-Mag® RNA-Pure provides a fast and straightforward paramagnetic bead-based solution for RNA cleanup and concentration following enzymatic reactions—such as in vitro transcription, DNase I treatment, capping, and labeling—as well as after conventional purification methods, including phenol/chloroform extraction. With an optional supplementary protocol, the kit can also be used for selective recovery of RNA across different size ranges from total RNA samples in NGS workflows.

Compatible with both manual workflows and automated liquid-handling systems, Auto-Mag® RNA-Pure enables efficient, high-throughput sample processing. The purified RNA is suitable for immediate use in a wide range of downstream applications, including PCR and RT-PCR, RNase protection assays, RNAi transfection, antisense RNA (aRNA) amplification, microarray analysis, cDNA synthesis and labeling, and RNA-Seq library preparation.

Total RNA Cleanup Workflow

1.  Confirm the sample volume.
2.  Add appropriate volume of Auto-Mag® RNA-Pure to the sample.
3.  Bind RNA to magnetic beads
4.  Separate the beads from contaminants
5.  Wash magnetic beads with 85% ethanol to remove contaminants.
6.  Elute Purified RNA from magnetic beads.

Total RNA Cleanup & Purification

Fig 1:  The 20 µl of RNA at 20 ng/µl, 10ng/µl, and 5ng/µl was cleaned up with Auto-Mag® RNA-Pure reagent following recommended protocols. The RNA was eluted in 20 µl and analyzed on Agilent’s TapeStation® 2200. Recovery rates ranged over 85% respectively.
